Adamson wins 11th straight UAAP softball title

Adamson University clinched its 11th consecutive UAAP softball championship in a dramatic eight-inning victory over the University of the Philippines on Wednesday at UP's home field.

The Lady Falcons secured their title with a come-from-behind 4-3 win, capitalizing on a throwing error by UP second baseman Algrace Adajar to score two runs and seal the championship.

Adamson dominated Game 2 with a 15-2 victory last Saturday, while UP won Game 1 in an extra-inning battle 3-2 earlier this week.

UP took the lead in the fourth inning but Adamson leveled the score in the fifth, leading to a defensive battle that extended into extra innings.

Coach Ana Santiago praised her team's resilience and emphasized the importance of the national team program for developing players like Season MVP Angelu Gabriel and Finals MVP April Minanga.
