NCR mayors propose easing restrictions, increasing business capacity

Mayors in the National Capital Region (NCR) are recommending further easing of restrictions ahead of the expiration of the GCQ status on May 31.

The Metro Manila Council met on Wednesday night and agreed to propose more business openings and increased capacity limits to the national government.

MMDA chair Benjamin Abalos Jr. stated that discussions focused on opening additional businesses and increasing activity capacities, noting a decrease in COVID-19 cases.

Abalos also suggested adjusting curfew hours to allow for extended operating times for businesses.
