DOH: ICU occupancy rate at 76%, high risk

The occupancy rate of ICU beds for COVID-19 patients in the Philippines remains at high risk with 76% of the country's 4,200 ICU beds currently occupied.

On Saturday, September 11, the DOH reported that 73% of the nation’s 15,800 ward beds and 56% of the total 3,400 mechanical ventilators are also in use.

Health experts have previously urged the DOH to review its reporting system due to discrepancies between their data and on-the-ground conditions.
