DOH: 2,675 health workers infected with COVID-19

As of June 2, the DOH reported that 2,675 healthcare workers in the Philippines have contracted COVID-19, with recoveries reaching 1,457 and deaths remaining at 32.

In Central Visayas, 55 health workers have been infected, including 23 nurses (41.8%) and five doctors.

The national tally includes 695 doctors, 905 nurses, and other medical staff; recoveries account for about half of the cases with 1,457 recovered out of 2,675 total infections.
