Philippines reports 1,738 new COVID-19 cases, 7 deaths

On Monday, November 16, the Philippines' total COVID-19 recoveries reached 374,366 after 45 new cases recovered.

The Department of Health (DOH) reported 1,738 new confirmed cases, increasing the national tally to over 409,000.

Seven deaths were recorded, bringing the total fatalities to 7,839, which is the lowest since August 18.

Active cases stand at 27,369 with about 83 percent being mild and 5.3 percent in critical condition.

The majority of new infections came from Davao City (140), Cavite (117), Rizal (89), Laguna (87), and Batangas (79).
