Ambo leaves 2 injured, over 13K displaced in Samar

Typhoon Ambo (Vongfong) caused significant damage in Samar provinces on Thursday, injuring two people and displacing over 13,000 residents.

Two individuals went missing in Eastern Samar's Oras town while one person was injured by flying debris in Can-avid town.

Eastern Samar experienced a total power outage and communication disruptions in several areas following the typhoon’s landfall.

Structures were destroyed, major roads became impassable due to flooding and landslides, and thousands sought shelter in evacuation centers across Northern Samar, Samar, and Eastern Samar.
