1Sambayan endorses Leni Robredo for president

Opposition coalition 1Sambayan endorsed Vice President Leni Robredo as its presidential candidate for the May 2022 elections.

Robredo thanked 1Sambayan for the endorsement but has yet to confirm whether she will run for president.

Retired Supreme Court justice Antonio Carpio, convenor of 1Sambayan, said the coalition followed a rigorous process and consulted local and foreign chapters before endorsing Robredo based on criteria such as integrity, competence, track record, patriotism, vision, and winnability.
