1Sambayan to name presidential bet Sept. 30

Opposition coalition 1Sambayan will announce its presidential candidate for the May 2022 elections on September 30.

Retired Supreme Court Justice Antonio Carpio, 1Sambayan’s lead convenor, stated that they are screening potential nominees based on surveys and an assessment of their track record, competence, integrity, patriotism, and vision.

The coalition is in the final days of its screening process, which includes a survey among members that began on September 12 and will end on September 25.
