Sotto: 18 Senate staff test positive in rapid COVID-19 tests

Eighteen Senate employees tested positive for COVID-19 antibodies in rapid tests conducted before the resumption of Senate sessions.

Senate President Vicente Sotto III said that those who tested positive were brought to hospitals for confirmatory PCR tests, with one result turning negative.

The number of positives increased from 12 to 18 over the course of a day, prompting Senator Panfilo Lacson to offer free testing for the families of the affected employees.
