PH has 24 hospitals in WHO's COVID-19 treatment trials

Twenty-four hospitals in the Philippines are participating in the World Health Organization's (WHO) Solidarity Trials to test potential treatments for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

As of Monday, May 25, 157 patient-participants have enrolled in these clinical trials.

Sixteen of the hospitals are actively recruiting more participants, with a goal of at least 500 Filipino patients.

Additionally, two new sites have been identified for the Avigan drug trial, bringing the total to five identified sites.
