152 OFWs from Sudan set to arrive in Philippines on Thursday

A total of 152 overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) from conflict-hit Sudan are set to arrive in the Philippines on Thursday via Saudi Airlines.

These repatriated OFWs are part of a larger group of 340 evacuees assisted by the Department of Foreign Affairs and the Philippine Embassy in Cairo, who were evacuated from Port Sudan to Aswan, Egypt.

DMW Secretary Susan Ople stated that her department and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) continue to coordinate with the DFA to ensure the safe return of distressed OFWs.
