LTFRB: Modern jeepneys resume on 15 Metro Manila routes June 22

Starting Monday, June 22, the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) will allow compliant modern jeepneys to operate on 15 routes in Metro Manila.

A total of 308 modern public utility jeepneys (PUJs) have been approved by LTFRB to ply these routes as part of efforts to gradually reopen public transportation under general community quarantine guidelines.

The initial 15 routes include popular areas such as Novaliches, Fort Bonifacio, and Alabang Town Center.

These modern jeepneys will operate at 50% seating capacity excluding the driver and conductor to ensure physical distancing, with masks required for all drivers, conductors, and passengers.
