Second Covid-19 death recorded in Bataan

As of April 3, a second person died from Covid-19 in Bataan, bringing the total number of deaths to two.

The deceased was a 62-year-old woman who had visited Quezon City and was hospitalized at Baypointe Hospital in Subic Bay Freeport since March 24.

She tested positive for Covid-19 on March 29 and became the second fatality after city administrator Rudy de Mesa, who died on March 27.

On April 1, Bataan reported its youngest patient to be a 13-year-old boy from Barangay Dangcol in Balanga City, hospitalized for appendicitis but found positive for the virus upon testing.

As of Wednesday, there were 14 confirmed cases in Bataan with two deaths and three recoveries.
