Youngest COVID-19 patient in PH recovers

The youngest COVID-19 patient in the Philippines, an infant who was 8 days old when tested positive, was discharged from Pines General Hospital.

The infant, now 23 days old, was found to be a boy after caregivers initially thought the baby was a girl.

A 23-year-old nurse, Mae Anne Gabrielle Cachero, also recovered and was discharged from Baguio General Hospital after 17 days of treatment.

Rafael Serrano, a 59-year-old expatriate from New York who arrived in Baguio a week before the lockdown, was also discharged after a month and a half at the Baguio General Hospital.

Jonover David, another BGH nurse who tested positive on April 15, was also discharged.

Baguio City now has a total of 18 recovered COVID-19 patients, with 11 remaining hospitalized, nine of whom are health workers in stable condition.
