UAE: Filipino baby recovers from COVID-19

A one-and-a-half-year-old Filipino baby in the UAE, identified as Zaine, has recovered from COVID-19.

He and his mother, who had very mild symptoms, underwent a three-week treatment period in Abu Dhabi after testing positive.

Baby Zaine, who was born three months premature in October 2018, did not exhibit any symptoms.

He tested positive seven times while in isolation with his mother.

Philippine Ambassador to the UAE Hjayceelyn Aurora Quintana expressed joy over Zaine's recovery, calling it a miracle and noting he is the youngest Filipino COVID-19 survivor in the UAE.

Ambassador Quintana urged all Filipinos in the UAE to remain vigilant with safety precautions and also joined families in mourning Filipinos who succumbed to the virus.
