VP Robredo, Sen Pangilinan get endorsements from national artists, Baguio universities

Vice President Leni Robredo and Senator Kiko Pangilinan received endorsements from national artists and Baguio's three major universities in the final week of the campaign.

National artists Rio Alma and Kidlat Tahimik publicly supported the Leni-Kiko tandem at the 'Takder Kordi' Cordillera People's Rally.

University of the Cordilleras, Saint Louis University, and University of Baguio have, for the first time, endorsed a presidential and vice-presidential candidate.

Ray Dean Salvosa of the University of the Cordilleras described the election as a 'moral crisis' and a 'battle for the soul of our nation,' urging the youth to support Robredo and Pangilinan.

Salvosa also noted that the country's education system's failure has allowed disinformation about the Marcoses and Martial Law to muddle the truth, contributing to Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s survey leads.

Dr. Virgilio Bautista, former president of the University of Baguio, recalled the oppressive environment during the Martial Law era, highlighting the importance of the current elections.
