VP Duterte calls for unity vs dengue amidst impeachment trial

Vice President Sara Duterte urged Filipinos to unite in combating the spread of dengue during Dengue Awareness Month, even as she faces an impeachment trial.

She emphasized the deadly nature of the mosquito-borne viral infection, noting that mosquitoes can breed in homes and communities, putting everyone at risk.

Duterte encouraged the public to actively participate in the Department of Health's (DOH) anti-dengue campaign.

She advised citizens to regularly inspect their surroundings for potential mosquito breeding sites like water containers, old tires, drums, and other household items.

The Vice President also recommended preventive measures such as using window screens, doors, and mosquito nets, wearing protective clothing during dawn and dusk, and using insect repellent.
