Two more House employees test positive for COVID-19

Two more employees of the House of Representatives have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the total to at least six.

The newly infected employees are a couple, with one working at the House Printing Office and the other at the Engineering Department.

Both individuals last reported for work on May 28, and protocols for handling positive cases and their close contacts are being observed.

Of the six total cases in the House, two employees have succumbed to the disease: a 41-year-old printing service staff member who died on March 15, and a 65-year-old congressional staff who died six days later.

Another staff member from the Printing Service Office and a security personnel have recovered from the virus.
