Two impeachment raps filed vs VP Sara Duterte

Two impeachment complaints have been filed against Vice President Sara Duterte before the House of Representatives, citing accusations of graft, corruption, betrayal of public trust, and mismanagement of confidential funds.

The first complaint was filed by former senator Leila de Lima and endorsed by Akbayan Representative Perci Cendaña, while a second complaint was filed by leaders of national mass democratic organizations and endorsed by the Makabayan bloc.

House Secretary-General Reginald Velasco stated that his office is holding the transmittal of the two complaints to consolidate them with any anticipated new filings.

Velasco confirmed that some congressmen have informed him of their consideration to file or endorse additional impeachment complaints against the Vice President.

A bloc of minority House lawmakers has also initiated efforts to gather support from fellow congressmen for their impeachment complaint.
