2 Chinese linked to Porac POGO sued for human trafficking
Two Chinese nationals, Qin Ren Gou and Jiang Shi Guang, are facing multiple charges including human trafficking, robbery, serious physical injuries, kidnapping, and serious illegal detention in connection with illegal Philippine Offshore Gaming Operations (POGO) activities in Porac, Pampanga.
The complaints were filed by the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) following their arrest during a raid on the POGO hub operated by Lucky South 99.
Prosecutor Darwin Cañete stated that workers were allegedly brought to these POGO hubs from abroad through force or intimidation.
The charges in Porac are similar to those filed previously in connection with a raid on a POGO hub in Bamban, Tarlac.
The accusations also include the torture of a Chinese victim who was reportedly tied to a bed frame and sought help from authorities during the raid.
