Tropical Storm Dodong intensifies before exiting PAR

Tropical Storm "Dodong" intensified before exiting the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Saturday, July 15.

As of 11 a.m., the storm had maximum sustained winds of 65 kilometers per hour (kph) and gustiness of up to 80 kph.

It was last seen 305 kilometers west of Sinait, Ilocos Sur, moving north-northwestward at 10 kph.

While no longer directly bringing heavy rainfall, "Dodong" continues to enhance the southwest monsoon.

This enhanced monsoon may still bring gusty conditions, particularly in coastal and upland areas exposed to winds.

All tropical cyclone wind signals have been lifted, but a gale warning signal remains hoisted in the northern and western seaboard of Luzon and Western Visayas.
