Traslacion 2025 route announced, procession to last 15 hours

The route for the 2025 Traslacion, the procession for the Feast of Jesus Nazareno, has been announced by authorities and will maintain the route from the previous year, starting from the Quirino Grandstand.

The procession is scheduled for January 9 and is expected to take almost 15 hours, concluding at Quiapo Church.

Novena masses began on December 31, 2024, and will conclude on January 8, 2025, with the "Pahalik" starting on January 6.

Manila Archbishop Cardinal Jose Advincula will lead a Holy Mass at midnight on January 9, followed by a vigil.

Police, led by NCRPO chief Police Brigadier General Anthony Aberin and MPD Director Police Brigadier General Arnold Thomas Ibay, conducted a final walk-through on Sunday morning to ensure the route is clear of obstructions.

Aberin emphasized the need for clear roads and the absence of overhanging wires to prevent injuries to barefoot devotees and damage to the Nazareno float.

Photos of potential obstructions were taken during the walk-through to be forwarded to the Department of Public Works and Highways and the Manila city government for action.
