Over 1 million devotees join 2025 Feast of Jesus Nazareno

The Minor Basilica and National Shrine of Jesus Nazareno in Quiapo, Manila City has released the schedule of Fiesta Masses for the 2025 Feast of Jesus Nazareno.

Fiesta Masses began at 3 p.m. on Wednesday and continued hourly until 11 p.m. on Thursday, with over 89,000 devotees attending masses inside the Quiapo Church.

More than 1 million devotees were recorded attending activities at the Quirino Grandstand.

Manila Archbishop Jose Cardinal Advincula, Jr. presided over the Misa Mayor at the Quirino Grandstand at midnight on Thursday, followed by the Panalangin sa Bukang-liwayway and the Traslacion.

The 'Pahalik,' or kissing and touching of the Jesus Nazareno image, began on January 6 at the Quirino Grandstand and continued until the Traslacion.

The Traslacion procession officially started at 4:41 a.m. on Thursday, moving the image from the Quirino Grandstand to Quiapo Church.

This year's Feast of Jesus Nazareno marks its first celebration as a 'national feast.'

Around 14,000 Manila Police District personnel were deployed for safety, and a liquor ban was in effect in Quiapo starting Wednesday.
