Traffic congestion expected along NLEX, SLEX as Undas period ends

Heavy traffic is anticipated along NLEX and SLEX as the Undas period concludes, with motorists advised to prepare for congestion extending until Monday.

NLEX Corporation has reported a high volume of vehicles, particularly on the southbound lanes heading towards Metro Manila.

Traffic is expected to remain heavy throughout Sunday night and into Monday morning as people return from the north.

Specific congested areas on NLEX include the stretch from Ciudad de Victoria Interchange to Meycauayan, Bulacan, and further slowdowns are noted in Pampanga, from Mabiga to Angeles, and San Fernando Interchange to San Simon.

Congestion is also present in Bulacan, from Balagtas to Bocaue, with vehicles moving at slow speeds.

NLEX authorities freed up one northbound lane for counterflowing motorists traveling to Metro Manila as heavy traffic is expected by the evening.
