NAIA intensifies security for 1.35 million expected Undas travelers

Security measures have been intensified at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) in anticipation of a significant increase in passenger traffic with the onset of the Undas break.

An estimated 1.35 million travelers are expected to pass through NAIA between October 27 and November 5 for the observance of All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day.

To ensure safety, police K-9 units have been patrolling the airport, and the airport operator New NAIA Infra Corp. (NNIC) has activated "Oplan Undas 2025" to ensure the safety, comfort, and efficient movement of travelers.

NNIC advised passengers to arrive at the airport three hours before international flights and two hours before domestic flights.

Assistance counters have been set up at key passenger areas to help with directions and inquiries.

Meanwhile, at the seaports, some 2.2 million travelers are expected, which is higher than last year's 1.9 million.
