Cone, Reyes to clash in PBA Finals

The PBA Governors' Cup Finals will feature Barangay Ginebra, coached by current Gilas Pilipinas coach Tim Cone, against TNT Tropang Giga, led by former national team mentor Chot Reyes.

Both coaches acknowledge their familiarity with each other's strategies, having worked together previously with the Gilas Pilipinas national team.

Cone, who guided Gilas to an Asian Games gold and a win over Latvia in Olympic qualifiers, stated that their long-standing friendship and study of each other's games will be a factor.

Reyes, however, downplayed the Gilas connections, emphasizing they will be focused on their roles as coaches for TNT and Ginebra.

The finals matchup includes numerous players who have been part of the Gilas Pilipinas national team program.

Reyes is aiming for TNT's 10th championship, while Cone is a mentor to Reyes but they have developed distinct coaching styles.
