Thousands flock to QC bus terminals for Undas long weekend

Thousands of passengers have begun flocking to bus terminals in Quezon City to travel to their home provinces for the Undas long weekend.

At the Genesis Bus Terminal, an estimated 2,250 passengers departed on 40 buses between 12 a.m. and 8 a.m., more than double the usual number.

The Baliwag Bus Terminal saw an estimated 1,500 passengers depart on 31 buses for Bulacan and Nueva Ecija from 2:30 a.m. to 7 a.m., also exceeding normal volumes.

At Five Star Bus Terminal, 22 buses carrying 990 passengers traveled to various provinces between 5 a.m. and 7 a.m.

Bus terminals are expected to see increased passenger volume throughout the day and into the holiday.

The Department of Transportation has deployed additional personnel to address issues identified during terminal inspections.
