TD Verbena prompts Signal No. 1 over 27 areas in PH

Tropical Depression Verbena has prompted PAGASA to raise Tropical Cyclone Signal No. 1 over 27 areas across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao as of Monday morning.

In Luzon, Signal No. 1 is hoisted over Occidental Mindoro, Oriental Mindoro, Romblon, the northern portion of Palawan including its islands, and mainland Masbate.

Several areas in the Visayas are also affected, including Antique, Aklan, Capiz, Iloilo, Guimaras, Negros Occidental, Negros Oriental, Siquijor, Cebu, Bohol, Samar, Eastern Samar, Biliran, Leyte, and Southern Leyte.

In Mindanao, the signal is raised over Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, the northern portion of Surigao del Sur, Agusan del Norte, the northern portion of Agusan del Sur, Camiguin, and the eastern portion of Misamis Oriental.

PAGASA is closely monitoring the movement and development of Tropical Depression Verbena as it nears the Caraga Region.
