Taguig opens 40-bed COVID-19 quarantine facility

The Taguig City government is opening a new 40-bed quarantine facility for individuals suspected of having COVID-19 while awaiting test results.

This facility, managed by nurses and barangay health workers who will undergo training, is intended for those who cannot self-isolate at home.

The Lakeshore facility, equipped with hygiene kits, Wi-Fi, and other amenities, is one of five quarantine centers in Taguig.

Mayor Lino Cayetano mentioned plans to add another 200 beds, and emphasized the importance of isolation to curb the virus's spread.

Suspected cases who test negative will be allowed to stay at the facility or go home, while positive cases will be referred to accredited national government hospitals.
