Southwest Monsoon weakens, bringing improved weather to most of PH

The Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) has weakened, bringing improved weather conditions to most of the Philippines.

Scattered light to moderate rains may still be experienced in Ilocos Region, Batanes, and Babuyan Islands due to the habagat.

Eastern Visayas, Caraga, and Davao Region may also experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms caused by easterlies.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.

Residents in affected areas are warned of possible flash floods or landslides during severe rains or thunderstorms.

Northern and western sections of Northern Luzon will have strong winds and rough coastal water conditions.

There are currently no low pressure areas monitored inside or near the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
