Habagat to bring rains to Luzon, western Visayas and Mindanao

The Southwest Monsoon, locally known as Habagat, is expected to bring cloudy skies and rain showers across Luzon and the western parts of Visayas and Mindanao.

The Ilocos Region, Zambales, Bataan, Occidental Mindoro, and Palawan may experience scattered rains and thunderstorms, with a risk of flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy rainfall.

Metro Manila will experience early morning and late afternoon to evening thunderstorms, with likely clearer skies for the remainder of the day.

Western Visayas, Negros Island Region, Zamboanga Peninsula, SOCCSKSARGEN, and BARMM will face partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.

PAGASA forecasts that weather conditions will start to improve in Palawan and Occidental Mindoro by the middle of next week.

The bureau has not monitored or spotted any low-pressure area or any potential cyclone that may affect the country's weather conditions in the coming days.
