Habagat to bring rains nationwide

The Southwest Monsoon, locally known as Habagat, is expected to bring cloudy skies and rain showers across the Philippines on Thursday.

PAGASA is closely monitoring a Low Pressure Area (LPA) located approximately 540 kilometers northeast of Itbayat, Batanes.

Areas including Metro Manila, Batanes, Babuyan Islands, Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Occidental Mindoro, and Antique may experience occasional rains with a risk of flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy rainfall.

The Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Negros Island Region, Zamboanga Peninsula, BARMM, SOCCSKSARGEN, the rest of MIMAROPA, the rest of Western Visayas, mainland Cagayan, Tarlac, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Bulacan, Batangas, Rizal, Laguna, and Davao Occidental will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms.

The remainder of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms, with the possibility of flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
