South Cotabato has confirmed two new COVID-19 cases, bringing the province's total to 14.
The new cases include a 26-year-old male locally-stranded individual (LSI) from Sto. Niño and a 54-year-old female overseas Filipino worker (OFW) from Banga, both returning residents.
The LSI arrived from Manila on June 15 via commercial flight, while the OFW arrived from Manila via Cagayan de Oro City on June 16 aboard a passenger vessel.
Both individuals tested positive for COVID-19 through Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) tests.
They are currently under close observation in isolation facilities.
The two new cases bring the active COVID-19 infections in the province to 10.
This is in addition to three other cases from Tupi town confirmed earlier in the week, and the province's initial four recovered cases.
