Negros Occidental logs 5 new COVID-19 cases

The 23rd COVID-19 case is a 35-year-old male seafarer from Binalbagan town who arrived on June 8 and had multiple conflicting swab test results before confirming positive on June 16.

The 24th case is a 46-year-old male from San Carlos City who arrived on June 8 via sweeper flight and tested positive on June 16.

The three new LSI cases are from Escalante City, Hinoba-an, and Cauayan, with travel history to Bohol and Cebu.

All five new cases are asymptomatic and are currently in quarantine facilities.

Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson also reported that nine COVID-19 patients in the province have recovered.
