Sotto confident in VP bid despite exhaustion

Senate President Vicente "Tito" Sotto III remains confident in his vice-presidential bid despite exhaustion from campaigning.

Sotto, the running mate of presidential candidate Panfilo 'Ping' Lacson, expressed his optimism during a visit to Cebu City.

He acknowledged trailing Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte in most surveys but believes he still has a good chance.

During his visit, Sotto met with several mayors in Cebu's seventh district, where he received support from incumbent mayors and mayoralty candidates.

Sotto stated that his primary feeling with the elections nearing is exhaustion rather than anxiety.

He expressed confidence he would win the May 9 national and local elections because Filipino voters are intelligent and discerning.

Sotto believes pre-election surveys and large campaign rally crowds do not guarantee a candidate's victory.

He added that with the campaign period on the homestretch, there is still time for voters to finalize their choices, as technology can change minds in a matter of days.
