Sen. Kiko Pangilinan optimistic despite survey numbers

Senator Francis "Kiko" Pangilinan remains optimistic about winning the vice presidential race despite recent survey results placing him in third place with 16 percent.

Pangilinan noted that the latest Pulse Asia survey results are three weeks old and therefore not indicative of the current political landscape.

He pointed to historical examples where candidates with lower survey numbers won their respective elections.

The senator expressed confidence that his standing will improve due to the dedicated efforts of his volunteers and supporters.

Pangilinan also highlighted that he has surpassed Mayor Sara Duterte in Google Trends for the past week, indicating a surge in online interest.

His campaign has seen shifts in support, with some groups previously backing Marcos now declaring their allegiance to the Leni-Kiko ticket.

He and his team have been actively campaigning, including visits to Cagayan de Oro City to engage with local residents.
