SLMC, Makati Medical Center ICU beds full

St. Luke's Medical Center (SLMC) in Quezon City and Global City announced that their intensive care unit (ICU) beds for coronavirus disease (COVID-19) patients have reached full capacity.

SLMC has requested the public to bring critically-ill COVID-19 suspect cases to alternative hospitals for immediate care.

Makati Medical Center (MMC) has also reached full capacity in terms of its bed utilization and manpower, with all its COVID-19 zones, including its ICU, regular wards, and emergency room, already full.

Both SLMC and MMC stated they will exert efforts to find alternative healthcare facilities for patients they cannot accommodate.

The medical facilities will provide updates once they reopen admissions for COVID-19 ICU beds.

However, both SLMC branches will remain open for admissions and treatments for non-COVID-19 patients as well as outpatient procedures.

SLMC appealed to the public to avoid complacency and strictly adhere to health protocols and preventive measures against COVID-19.
