PAGASA warns of heavy rains in Luzon, Eastern Visayas due to shear line, amihan

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) warned that the shear line and northeast monsoon will bring heavy to intense rains to several parts of Luzon and Eastern Visayas.

Quezon, Catanduanes, Camarines Norte, and Northern Samar are expected to experience the heaviest rainfall.

Moderate to heavy rains will affect Aurora, Camarines Sur, Albay, Sorsogon, Marinduque, Romblon, Masbate, Eastern Samar, and Samar.

Calabarzon and Mimaropa will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms due to the shear line.

Metro Manila, Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Bulacan, and Nueva Ecija will experience cloudy skies with rains due to the "amihan" or northeast monsoon.

The rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains from the northeast monsoon.

Localized thunderstorms are predicted for the rest of the country.

PAGASA has warned of possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy rain, which may intensify at times, or during severe thunderstorms.

Northern Luzon and the eastern sections of Central and Southern Luzon will have rough to very rough sea conditions due to strong to gale winds.
