Lacson likely to return as blue ribbon committee chair in November

Senate President Pro Tempore Panfilo "Ping" Lacson is likely to return as the chairperson of the Senate blue ribbon committee in November, according to Senate President Vicente Sotto III.

Sotto stated that a clamor from colleagues and the public convinced Lacson to reconsider his resignation.

Lacson had previously resigned on October 7 due to frustration with how the investigations were going, citing disagreements with colleagues regarding the proceedings and the direction of hearings into alleged anomalies concerning flood control projects.

Senator Erwin Tulfo was named acting chairperson following Lacson's resignation.
