ITCZ, easterlies to bring rains across PH

The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) and easterlies are expected to bring cloudy skies and scattered rains across the Philippines on Friday.

Mindanao, Eastern Visayas, and Palawan will experience cloudy conditions with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the ITCZ, with moderate to heavy rains potentially causing flash floods or landslides.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms from the easterlies.

PAGASA forecasts light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas across the archipelago.

No low-pressure area was monitored for possible tropical cyclone formation as of Friday morning.

Meanwhile, several areas could experience high heat index values, peaking at 44°C in Bacnotan, La Union; Infanta, Quezon; Sangley Point, Cavite City; and San Jose, Occidental Mindoro.
