Scattered rains expected in Mindanao, Eastern Visayas due to ITCZ, easterlies

Scattered rains and thunderstorms are expected across Mindanao, Negros Oriental, Siquijor, and Palawan due to the ITCZ, with potential for moderate to heavy rainfall.

Eastern Samar, Leyte, and Southern Leyte will also experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms caused by the easterlies.

Flash floods or landslides are possible in the affected areas, as warned by PAGASA.

The easterlies will bring isolated rain showers or thunderstorms to Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

Light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas are expected across the archipelago.

PAGASA reported no monitored low pressure areas for potential tropical cyclone formation.

Meanwhile, over 20 areas are forecast to experience a "danger level" heat index, with Dagupan City and Aparri, Cagayan potentially reaching 45°C.
