SC petitioned to stop arrest of Harry Roque

The Supreme Court (SC) has been petitioned to halt the arrest of former presidential spokesperson Harry Roque, who is facing contempt charges from the House of Representatives Quad Committee (Quad Comm).

Roque's daughter, Bianca Hacintha, filed a petition for a Writ of Amparo, seeking a temporary protection order from the SC.

The Quad Comm ordered Roque's arrest and detention for a second time after he failed to submit crucial subpoenaed documents, including his tax records and SALN.

Instead of complying with the order, Roque has gone into hiding and declared he will not surrender.

The Quad Committee's investigation has uncovered evidence allegedly linking Roque to Lucky South 99, an illegal POGO in Porac, Pampanga, where authorities found evidence of human trafficking, torture, scam farms, prostitution, and pornography.
