Mylah Roque faces arrest for missing POGO probe hearing

Mylah Roque, wife of former presidential spokesperson Harry Roque, faces a potential contempt charge and arrest order if she fails to comply with a show cause order from the House quad-committee.

The order was issued after her absence from a hearing investigating the couple's alleged involvement in Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGO) operations.

Mylah Roque had previously claimed she was undergoing medical treatment in Singapore and that her medical certificates were rejected.

Quad-comm Vice Chairman Romeo Acop stated that she could attend the hearings and invoke her right against self-incrimination instead of ignoring the order.

Acop extended an invitation for her to attend the hearings to avoid contempt, reminding her that non-compliance is a serious violation of House rules.

Mylah Roque recently called the committee's lead presiding officer an 'abusive individual' for allegedly claiming she is an incorporator of a POGO hub in Porac, Pampanga.
