Rizal Memorial Complex operational on April 6, can start receiving patients on April 7
The Rizal Memorial Complex will be converted into a quarantine facility for coronavirus patients and will be operational starting Monday, April 6, according to the National Task Force (NTF) against COVID-19 Chief Implementer Carlito Galvez, Jr.
The Philippine General Hospital (PGH) will transfer its asymptomatic and symptomatic COVID-19 patients to the facility starting Tuesday, April 7.
The facility will be staffed by three doctors and 50 nurses from the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and Philippine National Police (PNP) medical services to care for patients with mild symptoms.
The retrofitted complex includes air-conditioned cubicles, free food and Internet for patients and frontliners, and 24/7 monitoring by AFP and PNP medical personnel.
