Rain or Shine advances to PBA semis after beating Converge

Adrian Nocum and import Deon Thompson powered the Rain or Shine ElastoPainters to a 112-103 victory over the Converge FiberXers in Game 3 of the PBA Commissioner's Cup quarterfinals, securing their spot in the semifinals.

Thompson delivered a conference-best 34 points, 12 rebounds, seven assists, three blocks, and two steals, while Nocum added 24 points, with 16 coming in the second half.

Nocum's aggressive drives, particularly a 14-3 run he initiated, helped create separation for the Elasto Painters.

Andrei Caracut contributed 14 points and Jhonard Clarito added 11 points for Rain or Shine.

The ElastoPainters will face the TNT Tropang GIGA in a best-of-seven semifinals series, marking their third consecutive playoff encounter.

This semifinal series will commence later this month, following a two-week break for the FIBA Asia Cup Qualifiers.

Converge's campaign ended despite a strong performance from Alec Stockton, who scored 26 points and had six assists in Game 3.
