Apollo Quiboloy transferred back to Pasig City Jail after hospitalization

Kingdom of Jesus Christ leader Apollo Quiboloy has been transferred back to the Pasig City Jail after weeks of hospitalization.

He was initially admitted to Rizal Memorial Center on January 18, 2025, due to shortness of breath and was later diagnosed with moderate-risk, community-acquired pneumonia and stage 2 hypertension.

Quiboloy was transferred between Rizal Memorial Center, The Medical City, and Pasig City General Hospital during his confinement.

While at Pasig City General Hospital, the Pasig City Regional Trial Court Branch 159 granted Quiboloy permission on February 7, 2025, to record video messages for his senatorial campaign.

The court had previously ordered his transfer back to Pasig City Jail, where he returned on the evening of February 12, 2025.

Quiboloy faces charges of child abuse, sexual abuse, and qualified trafficking, with five aides also accused.

He was arrested in September of the previous year at the KOJC compound in Davao City.
