Court orders Quiboloy transfer back to Pasig City Jail by Feb 12

A Pasig City regional court has ordered the transfer of Kingdom of Jesus Christ leader Pastor Apollo Quiboloy back to the Pasig City Jail by February 12.

Quiboloy, who is detained on charges of qualified human trafficking and sexual abuse, was hospitalized on January 18 due to community-acquired pneumonia.

His lawyer expressed dissatisfaction with the court's decision, stating they would file a motion based on Quiboloy's medical condition and unique circumstances.

Quiboloy, 74, has denied the charges, claiming they were fabricated by disgruntled former members of his religious group.

The trial for qualified human trafficking resumed yesterday, with a witness cross-examination continuing.

Quiboloy attended the hearing via video conferencing from the hospital where he remains confined.
