PNP to sue 353 for curfew violations in NCR

Police are preparing to sue 353 individuals for curfew violations on the first day of the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) in Metro Manila.

This brings the total number of violations in the NCR Plus bubble to 20,511 from August 6 to August 7.

The current curfew in Metro Manila is enforced from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. the following day until August 20.

While most violators were warned, fined, or given community service, these 353 individuals will face complaints.

PNP chief Police General Guillermo Eleazar had previously emphasized the importance of the curfew in restricting movement and advised APORs to shop outside of curfew hours.
