PNP gears up for granular lockdowns as shift to MECQ begins
The Philippine National Police (PNP) is ready to assist local government units in implementing granular lockdowns as the National Capital Region (NCR) transitions to Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) from August 21 to 31.

These new quarantine classifications will be implemented alongside strict granular lockdowns in areas experiencing a surge in COVID-19 cases, according to MMDA Chairman Benhur Abalos.
