PNP: Over 70K protocol violators accosted 10 days into NCR ECQ
A total of 71,755 violators have been apprehended since the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) in the National Capital Region began on August 5th.
The daily average number of violators in Metro Manila is 7,973.
In the NCR Plus provinces (Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, and Rizal), a total of 212,750 violators have been recorded, with a daily average of 23,639.
Throughout the country, 351,152 violators have been recorded at 1,255 quarantine checkpoints.
The PNP reported that 4,098 non-authorized persons outside of residence (APORs) were monitored in the NCR.
Nationwide, 18,370 non-APOR violators were recorded.
Metro Manila is under ECQ from August 6 to 20 due to concerns over the Delta coronavirus variant transmission.
